After the successful implementation of a training workshop on empowering women and youths with knowledge and skills in Natural Resource Governance and Climate Justice in Mufulira and Chingola. The project has been funded by ActionAid Zambia with support from Swedish International Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
Women and Youths were trained, and they gained increased awareness and understanding of Natural Resource Governance and Climate Justice through interactive discussions and case studies. Women and Youths were also empowered to participate in decision-making through Advocacy Skills, Leadership, Sustainable Resource Management and rights-based approach. Practical and group discussion sessions equipped women and youths with knowledge and tools for monitoring environmental impacts and how they can engage the policy makers and other relevant authorities.
Additionally, the activity achieved its intended objectives through interactive discussions and expert presentations improved women and youths understanding of Natural Resource Governance and Climate Justice.
